Battersea Power Station completed £1.1 billion worth of properties and sold apartments to a value of £480 million in 2022.

The Battersea Power Station Development Company celebrated the sales as a show of the significant residential demand for the riverside neighbourhood, which last year grew to a community of over 2,500 people.

Shortly after the Grade II* listed Power Station and Electric Boulevard opened in October last year, Koa at Electric Boulevard brought to market its portfolio of residences, comprising 204 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments towards the south-end of Battersea Roof Gardens. Within eight weeks of launch, over 80 of these apartments were reserved.

Simon Murphy, CEO at Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: "We are proud to have achieved nearly half a billion pounds of new residential sales in 2022, and more than one billion pounds of completions, demonstrating the significant demand to live at the new riverside neighbourhood that has been created at Battersea Power Station. This builds on over £400m of sales in 2021, making our total residential sales for the past 24 months just shy of £1billion.

"2022 was a year for the history books for the project with the opening of the iconic London landmark to the public for the first time in history, as well as the new high street, Electric Boulevard. Coupled with the opening of the Northern Line in September 2021, we have achieved two of the most important milestones for this new area, and as a result, we're attracting an ever-increasing number of residents to join the vibrant community which has formed."

Still to open at Battersea Power Station this year is a 24,000 sq ft Arcade Food Hall where a combination of new and existing food concepts will be available, along with three restaurants and a cocktail bar.

London fitness brand Third Space will also open a 28,000 sq ft club at Battersea Power Station, hot on the heels of BFT Battersea which opens around the corner in February.
