Northcote Road pedestrianisation during summer months could soon be abandoned as Labour councillors bed in to the election victory that handed them fiscal control of Wandsworth Council.

Faulty lift in Battersea tower block keeps residents 'trapped' and 'traumatised'

Social housing tenants of a South London tower block say they're "trapped" in their homes as the lift keeps breaking down. People living in Wandsworth homes managed by provider Optivo fear their building is a "fire hazard" and claim their toilets and heating don't even work.
