A fitness brand from Down Under will bring its world-renowned exercise classes to London when it opens its first studio in Battersea next month.

Body Fit Training (BFT) became the fastest growing fitness franchise in Australia after its high intensity group workouts amassed a cult following.

At BFT Battersea, carefully curated classes will deliver the BFT programme in a state-of-the-art studio opening between Battersea Power Station and Battersea Park on Saturday, February 11.

Designed by Princess Diana's personal trainer, BFT founder Cameron Falloon, the BFT programme takes a scientific exercise methodology originally developed for elite athletes and, applied in strength, cardio and conditioning-based classes, makes it accessible to all fitness levels.

Launching BFT Battersea to the South West London fitness community is Charlie Hendrie, a certified personal trainer from Australia who has lived and worked in London since 2014.

"We are absolutely pumped to bring BFT's first London site to Battersea," Charlie told Battersea Nub News. "This will be the first of many BFT studios we will open within the next three years across South West London. We believe BFT offers something very different to other boutique fitness studios and have made it our goal to create an exciting new fitness community that are inspired and truly get the results they desire – it's a lot like personal training, but redefined."

At the heart of that difference is how the BFT methodology combines cardio with resistance programmes to train different energy systems in every workout session.

The bespoke technology used in the studio includes a bespoke heart rate monitor system – 'BFT³' – which allows members to track their progress and compare their performance to previous sessions, ensuring they are getting optimum results from each class.

"Through our scientifically proven training techniques and highly accredited team of coaches, who will be by your side to motivate, educate and push you to achieve your goals, we aim to provide the perfect environment for the community of Battersea to achieve their fitness goals. We thrive on building an environment where people can build friendships and have fun whilst working out," added Charlie.

"One way we will be looking to support our community is by running an eight-week challenge starting to help our members achieve their fitness goals supporting them with an eight-week meal plan and training programme. So, whether you are interested in losing weight, building muscle, breaking a fitness plateau or simply developing healthier habits, we are here to guide and support."

BFT Battersea opens at 73 Queen's Circus, Battersea, SW8 3NP on Saturday, February 11.
