Wandsworth: two arrested for aggravated burglary

Two arrested men as part of an investigation into aggravated burglary.

The pair, aged 53 and 34, were arrested on Wednesday December 1 on suspicion of aggravated burglary and remain in custody at a south London police station.

Police were called at 09:58 on Monday November 29 to reports of an aggravated burglary at a residential address on Arabella Drive, SW15.

At the scene officers found a woman in her 30s, who had been approached outside her address by two males wearing caps with the word 'Police' on the front.

The pair claimed to be carrying a drug search and when the victim challenged them they forced their way inside her home and assaulted her, causing cuts and bruises.

The men then searched the address and stole a two-month old female American XL bulldog puppy, which is described as 'blue merle', cash and a bag containing Christmas gifts.

The victim was treated at hospital for injuries before being discharged.
