A festive hamper created by a community of independent food makers in Battersea's New Covent Garden Market is now available to buy, helping abate last-minute Christmas gift panic.

Mission Kitchen, based in the Market's Food Exchange building, is a shared workspace for emerging talent in London's independent food scene.

Its community, which now consists of more than 100 independent food makers, gain flexible access to commercial kitchens, a creative co-working space and expert business support.

Co-founder Charlie Gent said: "We've hand-picked a selection of edible creations, all sourced from our community of independent food makers. There are only a limited number of hampers available, so order yours now to avoid disappointment."

The hamper, as well as tasting delicious, helps to support start-up businesses.

Mission Kitchen's first gift hamper showcases the amazing start-up businesses based at the market, including Chilli Garlic Relish by Yep Kitchen (a Sichuan-inspired relish, made with fresh and dried chillies, guaranteed to spice any dish); Mulled Wine Chocolate Truffles by Pastry Innovations (handcrafted chocolate truffles with the festive flavour of mulled wine); and Christmas Pudding Nut Butter by Two Nods Nut Butter (a festive special-edition winter peanut butter, with fruit and spices).

The hampers are available to buy online and orders can be placed here: www.missionkitchen.shop.
