Four flower businesses based at New Covent Garden Flower Market have donated hundreds of flowers to a fundraising event hosted by Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Bloomfield Wholesale Florist, DG Wholesale Flowers, R French & Sons, and Green & Bloom clubbed together to supply the children's charity with flowers for its annual Love GOSH fundraiser.

Their donation adorned tables at the annual gala dinner hosted at The Londoner hotel on Leicester Square earlier this month with 300 single stem roses in red, white and pink.

"It's a wonderful organisation and we're really happy to support such a great charity," said Michelle Hardcastle, of Bloomfields.

Covent Garden Flower Market's involvement was reflected in a brochure given to the 360 London-based guests of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

At least £180,000 was raised for Great Ormond Street Hospital through the sale of tables to gala guests.

"Thank you so much for this amazing donation," said Lilly O'Brien, Event Manager at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity. "We really appreciate your generosity and this amazing support of GOSH."
