Over £400,000 is to be spent redesigning a local neighbourhood park in Battersea and residents have been asked to help decide how to spend it.

Harroway Gardens is due a renovation and a public consultation is now underway to decide how over £428,000 should be spent.

There are three options to improve the small playground and other environmental enhancements.

All three of the options would see additional greenery planted, repairs to footpaths, new seating and new outdoor gym equipment installed, they can be viewed here.

The consultation will run until Thursday January 6 and people can take part here.

There will be a drop-in session held by the borough's leisure and culture contractor, Enable, where people can ask questions and find out more about the scheme.

The session is being 4pm to 7pm on Tuesday December 7 in the café at Caius House, 2 Holman Rd, London SW11 3RL.

The entrance to Caius House is at the intersection of Yelverton and Holman Road.

Wandsworth council's environment spokesman Cllr Steffi Sutters said: "I would urge everyone who lives in this part of Battersea, especially young families, to look at the three options and tell us which one they prefer.

"All three have been drawn up following a previous round of consultation when we asked local people what improvements they would welcome in this community open space.

"We have a significant sum of money available to upgrade Harroway Gardens and we want to make sure decisions on how that money is spent is in tune with local people's wishes."

Funding for these improvements has been raised via a levy on housing developers in the area who are required to fund local community infrastructure upgrades as a condition of their planning consents.
