Until March 4: My Brother's Keeper

Two refugee brothers. A small British town hostile to immigration. My Brother's Keeper charts a story of love, pain and learning in building community.

Refugee brothers Aman and Hassan are dispersed to live in a British seaside town. In desperate need of business, hotelier Bill Bradley and his son Aidan agree to house them but face animosity from their community for doing so. As Aidan takes Aman under his wing and they draw ever closer, they soon learn the utopia they create for themselves in the hotel is no match for the real world and must confront the hostile climate they live in.

Until March 5: Battersea Power Light Festival

Time is running out to visit the Light Festival at Battersea Power Station.

Eight spectacular pieces of artwork, curated in partnership with Light Art Collection, are on display both outdoors and inside the iconic Grade II* listed Power Station, which opened its doors to the public for the first time in history in October 2022.

Until March 5: Nicola Bealing Chapter 1 | Dead-man's Fingers

Matt's Gallery in Battersea is pleased to announce a new exhibition in two parts by Nicola Bealing. Drawing from two connected new bodies of work: Chapter 1 will present works from Dead-man's Fingers and chapter 2, The Borough.

Dead-man's Fingers is a body of work made during lockdown when total immersion in an alien world seemed a logical response to darkness beyond the studio door. The works developed into an intense investigation of heightened, imagined sub-marine landscapes.

Until March 18: Truth's a Dog Must To Kennel

The Fool leaves King Lear before the blinding. Before the ice-creams in the interval. In this extraordinary new solo work, Tim Crouch draws on ideas of virtual reality to send the character back to the wreckage of the world they left.

Truth's a Dog Must to Kennel switches between scathing stand-up and an audacious act of collective imagining. It's a celebration of live performance and a skewering of the state we're in now.

Friday, March 3: Crinkle Cuts + DJ LuDec

Crinkle Cuts bring a world of heavy grooves, tantric funk and soulful skanks. From Bristol, the 7-piece have brought their electric live show to stages across the UK and Europe and have built up a reputation for getting crowds dancing through the night, whilst they dance through the stage. They have recently released their debut 13-track album, produced by Kris Burton and recorded at Monnow Valley Studios and Music APE Studios and mastered by Chris Wright at Abbey Road.

"The Pleasure is All Yours" is perhaps best imagined by thinking of a mix of early Chili's, and the Cat Empire by way of the Black Seeds.

Hailing from the Wild West of London Town, LuDec – short for lunatic on the decks – is a vicious wild blonde who lives to dance and dances to live. With one foot dipped in Serbia and the other in chocolate fondant icing, she mixes eclectically with beats she finds far and wide. Mixing tropical electronic cumbia with heavy Bass Balkan beats, Swing and vintage remixes peppered with filthy blues and cooks it all up with plenty of dub and bass added. She'll take you into unchartered waters where folk melodies are embellished, adulterated and turned into a trippy psychedelic dance party.

Saturday, March 4: 90s Silent Disco in BAC Grand Hall

A 90s Silent Disco in the spectacular historic Grand Hall in Battersea Arts Centre comes to London for the first time. Expect some of the UK's best 90s DJs playing all your favourite tunes in the stunning, illuminated surroundings of one of London's most beautiful wow factor buildings. The Grand Hall - boasting its own grandiose private entrance, you'll arrive into the stunning Octagonal foyer, with mosaic floor and stained glass-domed ceiling making for a very impressive start to the event. You'll then journey through the evocatively lit Cathedral like corridors running alongside the Grand Hall before stepping out into the hall itself with the below awaiting you.
