Storm Eunice clear up

Storm Eunice has blown her way across the capital and caused some damage to buildings in Battersea as well as toppling some trees.
Wandsworth council has dispatched building control and tree teams to inspect the damage and make sure structures and trees are safe.
Residents across the borough have been urged to stay indoors if possible and only travel if necessary.

Outside of office hours these must be reported to Wandsworth Emergency Control on 020 8871 7490.
If your rubbish was due to be picked up today but was not, leave it out tomorrow (Saturday, 19) morning. Extra mop-up collections have been arranged.
COVID testing sites in London are expected to be open as usual tomorrow.
Wandsworth council have also warned that after the storm:
- Be careful not to touch any electrical/telephone cables that have been blown down or are still hanging- Do not walk too close to walls, buildings and trees as they could have been weakened
