A new exhibition will open Saturday January, 29, at The Pump House gallery in Battersea Park.

Battersea is filled with small galleries, including nearby Cooke Latham Gallery on Parkgate Road.

Berntson Bhattacharjee will present an exhibition at the Victorian building in the heart of the park.

Three emerging artists will be exhibited: Rafaela de Ascanio, Kalman Pool and Jessie Stevenson.

Each artist has taken over a floor to showcase their work.

Visitors will begin the exhibition outside with immersive, unconventional pieces.

Kalman's large inflatable sculptures will greet the viewer upon arrival where they will be forced to co-exist with nature for the first time.

Jessie's light installation will be projected onto the walls of the Pump House and is an ambitious project to bring her sketchbook to life.

Rafaela's work will be on the ground floor, through large glass doors.

Texture and organic materials will fill the space creating an otherworldly experience with sculptures and paintings joining forces and creating a narrative.

A spokesperson for the exhibition said: "With this body of work, Rafaela explores representations of Norse goddesses and pagan rituals being encoded within Renaissance masterpieces and religious iconography."

Kalman's work continues on the floor above where colourful paintings can be observed.

Jessie's landscapes are brought inside of the gallery, to the top two floors where attendees can enjoy her bold paintings.

The opening reception for the exhibition will take place Saturday January, 29 13:00-18:00 with a live performance starting at 16:00.

The exhibition will officially open and run January, 30 until February, 6.

Located at The Pump House, Battersea Park, SW11 4NJ.
