Newly built luxury homes at Battersea Power Station are now available to buy – at a cost of £865,000 for a studio.
This year will see the iconic London landmark opening its doors, with people able to visit its shops, restaurants and other attractions for the first time.
Switch House East is the second residential area to open at the development and offers 119 new homes including studios, one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments.
Autumn's launch of the Northern line extension plugged Battersea into the Underground network for the first time, providing a tube connection to the City and West End within 15 minutes.
The Grade II* listed power station has been removed from Historic England's heritage at risk register and is now fit for the next century after decades of it being in danger.
This was as a result of neglect and decay following its decommissioning in 1983.
Simon Murphy, chief executive officer at Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC), said: "We can say with confidence that Battersea Power Station will be one of London's destination hotspots in 2022.
"This follows the development's most transformational year to date in 2021, when we saw a succession of milestone announcements including welcoming our first residents, as the power station came to life for the first time in almost 40 years.
He added: "Looking ahead into 2022, the completion of Switch House East marks the first milestone of the year, as we take another step closer to final completion.
"Opening the rest of this historic building to the public later this year, will see residents, members of the local community, Londoners and international visitors enjoy a mix of uses for years to come."
Cllr Ravi Govindia, leader of Wandsworth Council, said: "This is indeed a landmark moment in the story of the power station's regeneration.
"The wider regeneration of Nine Elms is delivering 20,000 new homes, including 4,000 affordable homes and 6.5 million square feet of employment space.
"The construction phase has created 20,000 jobs and there will be 25,000 permanent ones available to local people when the project is complete."
He added: "The transformation of this former unloved, dirty and derelict industrial area into London's most exciting new residential district has been a long time in the making but is now gathering pace."
Local ward councillors have been contacted for comment.
