Moped rider in hospital after Battersea Bridge Road crash

A moped rider has been rushed to hospital after a crash with a car in Battersea.

Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to the scene on Battersea Bridge Road shortly after 2pm yesterday (August 9).

The rider of the moped was found injured and taken to hospital for treatment where his injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called shortly after 14:00hrs on Tuesday, 9 August to reports of a collision involving a car and moped on Battersea Bridge Road.

"Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended.

"The rider was taken to hospital; his injuries are not life-threatening.

"There were no arrests."
