The next Mega Skip Day in Wandsworth takes place this Saturday (April 29) at seven locations across the borough.
Mega Skip Days are held every month as part of council efforts to deter flytipping. Usually there is a charge for bulky waste collections, but local residents can take up to six items along to the nearest mega skip for free, including some electrical equipment and household items like mattresses and sofas.
Cllr Judi Gasser, cabinet member for the environment, said: "Mega Skip Day is monthly to help residents dispose easily of bulky waste and to prevent flytipping and locations are chosen based on feedback from residents.
"If you know an area that would benefit from one, email me at [email protected]."
