Man, 79, dies on Battersea Bridge Road

A 79-year-old man has died in Battersea after he collapsed in the early hours of this morning (Monday, January 31).
At 6:47am emergency services were called to Battersea Bridge Road near the junction with Petworth Street where they found the man unresponsive.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Wandsworth police are working to identify and inform his next of kin.
In a statement Wandsworth Police said: "At 06:47hrs on Monday, 31 January police were called to Battersea Bridge Road, near to the junction with Petworth Street, following reports that a person had collapsed.
"Officers attended with London Ambulance Service paramedics.
"They found a 79-year-old man who was unresponsive. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
"Officers are working to identify and inform his next of kin.
"Our thoughts are with the male's friends and family at this time."
