Battersea police will attend the Saturday Market on Battersea High Street this weekend to host a Crime Prevention Stall.
The St Mary's Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT), announcing their attendance on social media, said the stall would be a chance for local residents to "meet the team, discuss any issues or concerns, and receive crime prevention advice on a variety of topics".
St Mary's ward, in west Battersea, stretches along the River Thames from Wandsworth Town rail station to Battersea Bridge Road.
In February this year, violence and sexual offences were the most commonly reported crimes in St Mary's, followed by anti-social behaviour, miscellaneous theft and vehicle crime.
Crimes the St Mary's SNT said on February 22 it was prioritising tackling were drug-related anti-social behaviour on Gwynne Road, burglary at 'Viewpoint' and violence related robbery.
A spokesperson for the team said: "Our first priority is to target violence or drivers of violence, therefore the St Mary's Safer Neighbourhoods Team have set 'robbery' as their first priority for the next few months, particularly but not exclusively on Battersea Park Road and Battersea Bridge Road.
"Our second priority continues to be burglary, as agreed with the ward panel and members of the community. This quarter we will focus specifically on 'Viewpoint' as this development has seen the highest concentration of residential burglary in the last quarter.
"Our third and final priority this quarter will be to address drug-related anti-social behaviour at an undisclosed location on the ward, as agreed with our ward panel and members of the community."
Meet police in the St Mary's SNT at their stall on Battersea High Street on Saturday, April 8, between 10am - 12pm.
