Popular local café 166 CafeBar is set to become a hub of creativity when it hosts a painting competition this spring.

The Battersea Park Road café opened by friends Peter and Sergio in 2021 is one of central Battersea's best kept secrets.

Now a warm invitation has been extended to anyone who loves art and coffee to join 166 CafeBar in a painting competition that pairs the two.

Inspired by the question 'What is Battersea to you' and given a coffee on the house to help creative juices flow, each artist will have up to an hour to depict our slice of South West London as it's never been done, or seen, before - through their eyes.

At the end of the competition, hosted from 27 to 31 March, all paintings will be displayed at the café while three winners are selected.

Amateurs and professionals alike will be eligible for the delicious, edible prizes, which are for first place, dinner for two; second place, brunch for two; and third place, coffee, a pastry and a succulent.
