Six-year old twins who were reported missing yesterday (Sunday May 8) have been found.

Emmanuel and Emanuella were last seen playing in the front garden of their home In Cowley Road, Lambeth at 18:00.

A relative went to check on them an hour later and they were no where to be seen.

Police were alerted and began searching the area with the assistance of the National Police Air Service.

Just after midnight it was announced that the twins had been found safe and sound.

"We're pleased to confirm that they have now been found", Lambeth Police said in a statement just after midnight.

"We would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance."
