A chance to own a slice of Battersea history with prints of the power station from 1978.
Kate Winskill grew up in London and frequently snapped images of the city around her on a Friday night, including Battersea Power Station.
She used to run a pharmaceutical public relations company but after a cancer scare decided to pursue her passion for art.
Whilst undertaking her degree at Kingston University as a mature student ten years ago, she re-discovered some of her photographs of the power station taken in 1978.
Kate said: "It's surprising how few images are left of it [Battersea Power Station] when it was working.
"Most of the images are of when it was redundant, which is such a shame.
"I mean I know it was shocking for the environment but it was a very dramatic building when it was working."
The images are printed on silk/cotton fabric.
After discovering the old photographs Kate had switched her degree from fine art to fashion and textiles where she discovered her fascination for digital print.
"On silk you get this amazing depth of colour, it's much stronger somehow than printing on paper," Kate told Nub News.
She considered printing them on clothes but found the image got a bit lost so it made more sense to produce them as art works which also allowed her to print them much larger and fit them into frames.
Kate used thermal imaging to display the generating of power from the original building.
Her work has been displayed at Battersea Arts Centre and was also blown up and used as one of the images displayed over the power station while it was building site.
You can see Kate's work at Westfield London until Sunday January, 23 17:00 and can even purchase one to take home with you but hurry as they are limited edition pieces only.
