Wandsworth Primary Schools Application Process

  • List up to six schools in the borough of Wandsworth; do not list private schools.
  • Apply your child to several schools unless you are certain they will receive a place in the school you most prefer
  • Make choices carefully by reading the admission criteria that will be used to decide which children will qualify for places if there are more applications than places available
  • Apply for the schools in your local area (distance is used by most schools to decide which children are offered places)
  • List the schools in the order you prefer them. If your child can be allocated a place at more than one school, the council will use this information to offer whichever of these you most prefer. The order cannot be changed at a later date.

If you apply online, you must submit the form before midnight on 15 January 2023.

Parents applying on a paper form must return it by 15 January, 2023 to:

Pupil Services

Wandsworth Council

Children's Services Department

Town Hall Extension

Wandsworth High Street

SW18 2PU

Wandsworth Primary Schools: Timeline for Applications

All applications received by 15 January 2023 will be considered together. If an application is not received by the council's Pupil Services department by this date, your child will not be considered for a place until after initial offers of places have been made on 17 April, 2023.

The council reserves the right to accept a late application where it considers there are exceptional reasons for its untimely submission. No applications received after 9 February, 2023, can be accepted for this possible leeway.

Wandsworth has published a comprehensive guide for parents which details schools in the borough, contact details, admissions information and frequently asked questions.
