Duchess of Cornwall opened the new Royal Academy of Dance headquarters in Battersea

The Duchess of Cornwall has today made an appearance in Battersea to open the Royal Academy of Dance's new headquarters.

The Duchess, who is Vice-Patron of the Royal Academy of Dance visited the dance school today (Thursday March 10).

During her visit she could be seen standing with a group of students posing for photographs in one of the studios.

Also in attendance was Dame Darcey Bussell DBE who is president of the Royal Academy of Dance as well as fellow ballet dancer Carlos Acosta CBE.

The Royal Academy of Dance is a world leader in dance education and training with over 100 years experience.

The new global headquarters in Battersea is a £19.5 million project that was announced in January 2017.
