Battersea's MP, Marsha de Cordova, called for a debate on rail services in Battersea.
Marsha de Cordova called for the motion in yesterday's parliament following news of cuts to services earlier this week.
It has been revealed that one in four trains have been axed compared to pre-pandemic levels.
South Western Rail introduced a new timetable on Monday (January, 17) which saw services run at 72% of the normal pre-pandemic levels.
These cuts alongside staff shortages due to covid isolating has created havoc on on trains and services in South West London.
Marsha de Cordova wrote on Twitter: "Today I called for a debate on the cuts to South Western Railway services At Queenstown Road, Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Town.
"People who live and work in Battersea rely on regular and efficient rail services.
"One train an hour is not enough for this crucial line."
Accompanying the tweet the MP posted a video where she can be heard speaking to the house and saying: "South Western Rails has three stations in Battersea, due to the pandemic a reduced service has been in operation.
"However, recently they have introduced further cuts including going from three trains an hour to just one and two hundred fewer services every day.
"These changes will cause a massive disruptions to my constituents who rely on these services, including for their daily commute, and Mr Speaker I think it's worth pointing out that South Western Rail introduced an increased to its rail fairs by two point nine percent, which is the second highest among all rail operators in 2020.
"So can we have a debate in government time on their service delivery and service cuts and reductions?"
