On Wednesday February, 3, HRH The Duchess of Cornwall joined Paul O'Grady for a trip to Battersea Dogs & Cats home in Kent.

The Duchess is is a Royal Patron of the charity and visited the Brands Hatch centre with Ambassador O'Grady.

Located in the countryside this centre provides a calmer environment for the rescue animals that struggle to cope with the busier centre in London.

During the visit HRH's dog, Beth went head to head with O'Grady's dog Sausage in a training challenge known as 'Temptation Alley'.

Beth, was crowned the winner as Sausage veered to the left immediately investigating the gathered crowd.

HRH adopted her two Jack Russel Terriers, Beth and Blue, from the charity.
