Battersea café puts out call for art equipment donations

A café in Battersea has put out a plea for art supplies ahead of its upcoming painting competition.

166 CaféBar announced its plan to host a 'What is Battersea to you?' themed week of painting last month.

An open invitation to painting pros and keen novices alike, the event, scheduled for the duration of the last week of March, gives visitors to the Battersea Park Road café the chance to unlock their creative nous while enjoying their caffeine kick on the house.

Anyone in the community with art equipment going spare would help bring the event together with their donations.

In a post to the Battersea community on social media, 166 CaféBar said: "Do you have art equipment cluttering your cellar, attic, or garage? You can now donate the art supplies you no longer use when visit us for your coffee or meal.

"Bring us your brushes, acrylic paints, watercolors, canvases, and crayons and give them a second life. All supplies will be provided to artists for free during our upcoming painting competition at the end of March.

"We hope to see you there!"
