A cyclist has been taken to hospital following a collision on Battersea Bridge this morning.

The female cyclist collided with a truck on the north side of Battersea Bridge where it meets Chelsea Embankment.

The bridge remains closed and buses are being re-routed.

The collision comes one year, to the day, that Jack Ryan, 29, was struck and killed at the same junction.

In October 2021 London News Online reported that TfL were lowering the speed limit and widening the pavements to make the bridge safer.

The changes were brought about after Chelsea resident Rob McGibbon set up a petition that received over 26,000 signatures in the aftermath of Jack's tragic death.

However, with another dangerous collision occurring since the change, has the council and TfL done enough?
