Plans to build 29 new council homes in South London have been given the go-ahead.
Wandsworth Council will bulldoze garages on the Platt Estate in Putney to make way for two new blocks of flats.
The four-storey block in Platt South will include 11 flats and the two-storey block in Platt North will have two 1-bed flats and two 2-bed flats.
There are also plans for another four-storey block of flats to be built on the Putney Vale Estate, an unused site between Stroud Crescent and Putney Vale Cemetery.
All developments will bring 29 new council homes in total.
Each of the homes will come with outdoor space in the form of a garden or balcony and include bike storage.
The new homes will contribute to the council's Housing For All programme, which promises to bring 1,000 new council homes by 2027.
All new homes within the programme are prioritised for Wandsworth residents as well as key workers.
The council says it is on track to deliver on its commitment with 46 per cent of the Housing For All programme completed, being built or having had planning permission.
Cabinet member for housing at Wandsworth Council, Cllr Jonathan Cook said: "This is another milestone for our Housing For All programme.
"With these applications approved, we move another step closer to delivering on our promise of delivering 1,000 new council homes by 2027.
"The coronavirus pandemic has proved challenging for everyone but we are pleased that our programme remains on track, not only delivering new homes for a range of needs but also providing jobs and opportunities for local businesses and people."
Previously, plans for a 16-storey block of 70 flats in Battersea were given the go-ahead after locals raised fears their town could look like Hong Kong.
One angry resident said: "Not another high rise in the neighbourhood! I live in the low rise on Wye Street and yet another high rise building will make it even more claustrophobic and secluded than it already is.
"Don't turn Battersea into another Hong Kong or Shanghai with all these towers, preserve its charm and beauty!"
