A gourmet burger restaurant has landed in the heart of Battersea and it is sure to get your mouth watering

Burger Brasserie opened its doors to the public on Monday and has already proven to be a hit with the locals.

This is the first branch of the restaurant but owner and founder Gaurav Saxena has big plans and hopes to expand, with his heart set on a second location in Marylebone.

However he wants to make sure he gets the first one perfect before he franchises.

Mr Saxena told Battersea Nub News, "I want to focus on the first one for six months.

"I believe you need to be there yourself to give the best service, people want to see the owner of the business."

Mr Saxena is likely to be a familiar face amongst residents, as the owner of popular Indian restaurant, Battersea Rickshaw, which occupied the same space from 2008 to 2015.

As a veteran Battersea business owner, Mr Saxena knows what customers in the area expect.

The restaurant's location, while charming, does not have a regular footfall from tourists and therefore must work hard to obtain a good reputation.

Burger Brasserie hopes to bring something different as the only gourmet burger restaurant within a two mile radius.

"I saw there was a demand for this kind of food and our customers leave very happy" Mr Saxena told us.

Customers can be certain to eat fresh food, produced from the highest quality ingredients.

The burger beef is aged for 30 days and sourced from a farm in the North of England and the chicken from British farms that adhere to the highest standards of welfare.

Their buns are delivered fresh every morning and all other food and sauces are made in house.

There's something for everyone with vegan options as well as a kid's menu, perfect for hungry children from neighbouring schools.
