Battersea Park Children's Zoo to close until February.

The much beloved local zoo will be closed to the public for the next three months while they carry out maintenance and renewal work.

It will close its doors Sunday November 28 2021 at 16:30 until Friday February 11 2022 at 10:00.

The zoo informed the public via their instagram page and said: "Although this was a difficult decision for us to make, our aim is always for our zoo to provide the safest and most memorable experience for our visitors whilst discovering the amazing species living at the zoo and the conservation work being done to protect them."

There was no specification of what work would be carried out but that they hope the improvements will further their ability to educate and provide a family-friendly experience for visitors.

BPCZ recently enjoyed a successful breeding programme with the release of 50 harvest mice.

The zoo will continue to carry out any keeper experiences that have been booked by the public, as well as extending all memberships and adoptions for the period they are closed.
